Ganesha, the popular elephant-headed Hindu god, symbolizes wisdom, good fortune, and the remover of obstacles. He is one of the most beloved gods in Hinduism and is worshipped in all Hindu faiths.

The four arms represent the mind, ego, spirit and consciousness. In his hands he holds an axe symbolising the destruction of desire, a rope to pull believers towards happiness, a sweet as a reward for spiritual pursuit and the last hand is raised in blessing. Around his round belly he wears a snake as a belt and at his feet sits his faithful animal – a small mouse.
