Comfortable all-round shiatsu mat, which is especially suitable for calmer training, relaxation, stretching, pregnancy training, shiatsu, Thai massage and other forms of bodywork performed on the floor.

The shiatsu mat, is a handmade quality mat made in Germany in a practical and highly functional design.

The mat is futon-sewn in multiple layers to ensure even padding and durability over time. With two sewn-on black synthetic straps, the mat can be easily rolled up and stored when not in use.

The mat is filled with at least 4 layers of fleece, which consists of 70% cotton and 30% polyester fibers. This fiber blend ensures that the mat remains elastic and resistant to compression with frequent use.

Different thicknesses and customization

The mat is available in different thicknesses, depending on your needs:

4 layers : Approx. 5-6 cm (standard thickness, suitable for most purposes)
5 layers : Approx. 6-7 cm (for extra padding and support)

Please note that 5-layer Shiatsu mats are made to order and therefore cannot be returned.

The mats may be compressed during transport and may therefore appear smaller upon arrival – however, they will quickly regain their full size when laid flat and given time to stretch out again.

The cover is treated according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (Certificate No. A06-0488) and is dyed without the use of AZO dyes , making it safe and environmentally friendly.

Materials

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a global certification that ensures that textile products have been tested for harmful substances and are safe for human health. Products with this certification have been tested for more than 100 different substances that can be harmful, including chemicals, dyes and heavy metals.

AZO dyes are a group of synthetic dyes used in the textile and leather industries to dye products in bright and strong colors. These dyes contain a chemical compound called azo group (N=N), which can break down and release aromatic amines, some of which can be carcinogenic and harmful to both health and the environment.

In the EU and several other countries, the use of certain AZO dyes is regulated or banned in textiles that come into direct contact with the skin to protect consumers from health risks. Products labeled AZO-free do not contain these potentially harmful substances and are therefore considered safer and more environmentally friendly.
