Yoga sandbag for intensive stretching and strengthening

The yoga sandbag is a practical tool for your yoga practice. It is often used in Iyengar yoga, therapeutic yoga and Anusara yoga, where it helps with intensive stretching and muscle strengthening. However, the sandbag can also be used in other yoga styles as well as for fitness and gymnastics exercises.

The weight of the sandbag helps you deepen your stretches and strengthen your muscles. Thanks to the two chambers and the practical carrying handle, it can be used in many ways. For example, you can place it on your thigh in the seated forward bend Janushirshasana or in the hero pose Virasana to intensify the stretch. If you want to strengthen your muscles, you can use the sandbag as a dumbbell, hold it in your hand or perform dynamic exercises with it.

For deep relaxation, you can place the sandbag on your thighs or upper arms in Shavasana. If you place it on your stomach, the weight can help you better sense your breathing and the muscles involved. Finally, the sandbag can also be used as a seat for meditation.

The separate chambers ensure an even distribution of the sand, so the sandbag adapts optimally to the body. Each chamber has an inner bag filled with sand, where you can take some out if you want to adjust the weight.
